#1 Hey guys, I'm currently in the development phase of an electric kick scooter that is supposed to use go kart wheels and tires. I want my scooter to not have a chain or belt or anything comparable though, I want to use a hub motor.

The motor I made for Eli-Kart took much more time and effort than I initially expected. For use in an open space under a go-kart such as Eli-Kart, a commercial motor would be much easier and probably cheaper. Only for truly specific purposes can a custom motor be well justified, such as with hub motors.
